Zach Randolph shows respect to World War II veteran


Jimmy Keep is an 88-year-old Marine Corp veteran and a survivor of Iwo Jima. He also happens to be a die-hard Grizzlies fan. 

Keep attended the Grizzlies’ game against the Lakers on Friday night, doing so in owner Robert Pera’s primetime seat located courtside. He was introduced to the home crowd during a break in the game as a part of the Ashley Furniture military recognition program, according to The Commercial Appeal, but Zach Randolph made sure to pay h

is respects before and after tip-off.

The star power forward gave Keep some autographed goods prior to the game and thanked him for his support with a bearhug following their 97-90 victory. With Randolph being Keep’s favorite player — in his words: “Randolph’s my guy!” — he was a very happy man.
