Reports surfaced Tuesday that Nash is in "advanced negotiations" to join Golden State's coaching staff after being pursued by Kerr and president Rick Welts to spend a few days each month with the team to work with players on individual skills.

During his 19-year career, Nash's teams ranked No. 1 in the league in offensive efficiency for nine consecutive seasons (2001-09). The eight-time All-Star and

a two-time NBA MVP is also the 10th-most accurate 3-point shooter (42.8 percent) and most accurate free throw shooter (90.4 percent) in NBA history. Nash should collaborate well with Curry, who is the third-most accurate 3-point shooter (44.1 percent) and third-most accurate free throw shooter (90.0 percent) in NBA history
