Derrick Rose: Warriors, Knicks are 'super teams'

The Warriors already had a strong roster before adding Kevin Durant, and by acquiring the former league MVP, many experts have labeled Golden State as a super team. The Knicks finished well below .500 and added an often-injured Derrick Rose and a past-his-prime Joakim Noah, a

nd literally no one has called them a super team.

Sure, they also brought in Courtney Lee and Brandon Jennings, but you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who legitimately considers them title contenders. But somehow Rose has a media filter on that only sends positive vibes his way, and believes people are putting the Knicks in the same breath as the Warriors.

"[Expectations are] high. I mean, with these teams right now, they're saying us and Golden State are the super teams, and they're trying not to build that many super teams, and Adam Silver came out with the statement and this and that," Rose said via


He didn't even hesitate when delivering that "super teams" line. Like it's common knowledge that people are out here labeling the Knicks as anything other than improved. Will Rose, Noah, Lee and Jennings help out? For sure. But there's no comparing them to the Warriors.
