Draft 2015: Astros select Kyle Tucker with No. 5 pick

The Houston Astros have selected outfielder Kyle Tucker of Plant High in Tampa with the fifth overall pick of the 2015 draft. It’s the second pick of the draft for the Astros, who took LSU shortstop Alex Bregman with the No. 2 overall choice (which was compensation for no

t signing last year’s No. 1 overall pick, Brady Aiken).  MORE: Five worst Draft misses for each franchise | Best picks, 1-50Clearly, Houston believes in good bloodlines; Tucker’s brother, Preston, is a rookie with the Astros this year. Preston Tucker is batting .263 with a .767 OPS in his first 25 big-league games.  It’s easy to say now, of course, but Kyle Tucker is generally considered the better prospect. One scout earlier this spring on Kyle Tucker, whom Houston just took with the fifth overall pick: “Best swing in the draft.”— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) June 8, 2015
