Watch: Elian Herrera taken off field in stretcher after ugly collision

pop-up off the bat of the Reds’ Skip Schumaker in the eighth inning in Milwaukee. Peterson, tracking back toward the outfield to attempt to catch the ball, collided with Peterson, who was racing in from left field.  Both players lay on the outfield grass in pain, but Herrera appeared to get the worst of the collision and was placed on a backboard before being carted off the field after nearly 10 minutes. X-rays on Herrera came back negative, according to .com.
