J.J. Redick injury update: Clippers guard could return from broken hand soon

Los Angeles Clippers J.J. Redick, initially expected to miss 6-8 weeks, could be back sooner than expected, according to ESPNLosAngeles.com (via ProBasketballTalk).

Out since Nov. 29, Redick is targeting a Jan. 15 comeback, ESPNLosAngels reports. The Clippers certainly will welcome his outside shooting, as Redick had gotten off to a hot start before going down with injury.

Redick was traded to the Clippers in the offseason and kicked off his stay in Los Angeles by averaging 15.8 p

oints and shooting 35.9 percent from the 3-point line. Doc Rivers' ability to put him in the proper position and Chris Paul's passing prowess were both keys to Redick's early success.
